Call backs will be Sunday and Monday Evening, details will be given at auditions.
Please prepare 32 bars showing character and range. You may be asked to dance, and vocalized/ sing, to show the vocal range of the character for which you are auditioning.
Auditions will be held at the Candlelight Pavilion Rehearsal Space located at:

From Foothill Blvd: Go North on Monte Vista, make a u-turn at Claremont Blvd and turn right into the driveway just past the Urgent Care. It is located in the North-east corner of the SBM Systems buildings.
Much of The Drowsy Chaperone is a play within a play; with the exception of Man in Chair, all characters are playing two roles: the Character in the play and the Character playing that Character. All Actors need broad comedic timing, great pitch, must be able to move, and sing harmony. This is an "'Ensemble Piece" and all Actors will get a "Star Turn" and be required to help with set changes and quick costume changes.

Aldolpho - A#2 - G4
European self proclaimed "Ladies Man" played by silent film star Roman Bartelli. Strong Comedic Timing, Stamina, and Physical Comedy required. Stereotypical Latin, and Asian accents required.
Feldzieg - Db3 - Db4
Stereotypical Cigar Smoking/ Big Time Producer of the 20's played by Jack Adler; married to actress Sadie Adler who plays Kitty. Think Florenz Ziegfeld & George Burns
Gangster 1 & Gangster 2 - Db3 - Gb4
Posing as Pastry Chefs, intending to collect a debt from Feldzieg. Played by Vaudeville Duo the Tall Brothers. Must have strong Comedic timing and ability to move in unison. Think Marx Bros or 3 Stooges with a dash of Rocky Balboa.
Height of 5'6" or under preferred.
George - Tenor F3 - Bb4 (Strong Tapping and full voice Bb4 are a must)
Robert's anxious best man. High strung, organized, and over the top
Janet Van de Graaf - G3 - Eb (Must be able to do splits, cart wheels in place, high kicks preferrably 5' 8" or taller) The famous bride played by rising star and Show Girl Jane Roberts. Must have sex appeal, comedic timing, and an amazing belt.
Robert Martin - Bari/Tenor C3 - F#4 - A4 Full Voice Preferred (Must tap!)
Dashing leading man, and ever cheerful groom, played by matinee idol and former All Bright Toothpaste Spokesman Percy Hyman. Think Donny Osmond or a good looking Ace Ventura, if they could tap.
Kitty Bb3 - F5 Soprano (Must be an amazing, clean, dancer, and character actress/ singer)
Feldzieg's dim whitted companion, played by Sadie Adler. Think Gracie Allen or Betty White
The Drowsy Chaperone - F3 - D5 (Strong belt and strong mover. Sexy, star on her way out. Think Norma Desmond, Samantha from Sex in the City, and Lucille Ball)
Janet's well established confidante, played by well-established stage actress Beatrice Stockwell.
Mrs. Tottendale - G3 - Db5
Airheaded Host of the evening. Forgetful, charming, and full of life; played by Ukulele Lil.
Underling Ab2 - G4 (some tapping a plus but not required. Think the butler from The Nanny)
Mrs Tottendale's Savvy butler played by Noel Fitzpatrick. Quick whited, Englishman that easily handles sarcasm.
Trix - Ab3 - Eb5 (African American prefered but not required)
Brave and brash female aviator. A lesbian with strong comedic timing, and a huge voice; great featured part in opening and finale. This role sings a lot off stage and will be a big part of costume changes, and some of the set changes.
